Mapping al-Qaeda v1.0

Mapping al-Qaeda v1.0 is the first product from a new initiative at IntelCenter to utilize link analysis technology to provide visual maps of terrorist networks around the world. The goal of the Mapping al-Qaeda Project is to help foster a better understanding of al-Qaeda's operational characteristics, its organizational structure and the scope and breadth of its network around the world. For the time being, this link analysis chart and updates will be available for free from the IntelCenter site. Version 1.0 of the link analysis chart only represents a small fraction of the data IntelCenter has collected. It is a dynamic document and subject to frequent revision. Additional details will be included in future releases.

For those of you with access to i2's Analyst Notebook, just open it up and you can begin to manipulate it immediately. For those without, you can download the free Link Chart reader for Windows by clicking here. The free reader will allow you to zoom in, search, and print. It does not, however, allow you to run automated path and cluster analysis tools or manipulate the items on the chart. Feedback concerning this initiative can be sent to info@intelcenter.com.
